Tony Award winner Alan Cumming, Wicked star Bowen Yang, actor-producer Lena Waithe, and writer-director Adam Goldman are joining forces to launch The Necessary Foundation, a new non-profit dedicated to championing the next generation of LGBTQ+ filmmakers. The foundation will distribute annual grants of $20,000 to up-and-coming queer creators to finance pilots, short films, and proofs-of-concept.
